Groups / Camps
Peers are a powerful and motivating source for your child's development! Our camps and social groups are facilitated by our therapists and are designed to provide optimal support for each child's needs.
Social Groups
Social groups at Foundations are small and extremely client-centered as we organize them based on interested families and their child’s respective needs, developmental level, and interests. We incorporate the Social Thinking ® framework to help children think about and understand the relationships in which they participate, rather than focusing on superficial rote social codes, actions, and patterns of response. Groups take place in our sensory-rich gym environment so each child’s sensory motor needs can be met, providing necessary support for regulation and arousal levels, enabling learning to take place.
Camps
Our week-long camps occur annually during spring break and summer vacation. Activities are designed around a weekly theme and promote social-emotional skills and motor skill development in a supportive environment. Camps include a wide range of activities including obstacle courses, organized games, arts and crafts, sensory play, and more! They address a wide variety of skills children work on in individual sessions, in a social, fun-filled environment with peers, including:
-
Turn Taking
-
Sharing
-
Body Awareness

Social Language
